SUBJECT:	Operating System Upgrade

In BOTCC’s® continuing effort to improve system performance for our member firms, a new level of the OS390 operating system will be implemented on Saturday, March 4, 2000. The operating system enhancements scheduled for implementation include the following:

All system enhancements should be transparent to Clearing Firms and not impact interfaces or applications provided by BOTCC. To aid firms in ensuring their systems interface with BOTCC is uninterrupted we are encouraging firms to test their MQM, RJE, and 3270 emulation connections to BOTCC’s upgraded operating system. These system upgrades can be tested on the 3^rd LPAR at BOTCC prior to March 4, 2000. Test dates are February 24^th, 25^th, 28^th, 29^th, and March 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd from 6:30am to 4:00pm. As a reminder, firms will be disconnected from their production link while testing on the 3^rd LPAR. If firms are interested in testing their system with BOTCC’s OS390 upgrade, please contact a Business System Analyst at least one day prior to a test date selection.
