Discontinuation of Reel Tape for Back Up Trade Submission
|
Effective Monday, July 31, 2000 the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation will not accept Reel Tape as a back up media for trade submission or transfer data. Reel Tape has become technologically obsolete and is no longer cost effective for clearing to support. Tape Cartridge and PC Diskette will continue to be accepted as back up media alternatives as well as new media being explored by clearing. Bulletins on detailed backup media and procedures will be forthcoming.
