In order to assist Clearing Members in preparing for the launch of the a/c/e trading platform, the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation will archive MQ messages from simulation testing done between August 14, 2000 and August 17, 2000 and provide them for backoffice testing upon request. The test schedule and file availability are outlined below:

Simulation Testing Schedule

First session

August 14 – August 15: Trading began on August 14, 2000, at 8:00 A.M. and ended on August 15, 2000 at 12:00 Noon. The system date was July 26, 2000.

Second Session

August 15 – August 16: Trading began on August 15, 2000 at 10:00 P.M. and ended on August 16, 2000, at 3:00 P.M. The system date was July 28, 2000.

Third Session

August 16 – August 17: Trading will begin on August 16, 2000, at 10:00 P.M. and end on August 17, 2000, at 3:00 P.M. The system date will be July 31, 2000.

MQ Message File Availability

Between Monday, August 21, 2000, and Wednesday, August 23, 2000, the Clearing Corporation will make available to firms the MQ message files from the first through the third Simulation Testing sessions. All three files can be scheduled to be sent at the same time, or firms can choose to receive consecutive files each day from Monday through Wednesday. Firms also have the option of receiving the same files each day.

Please complete the attached form and return it to Clearing to indicate your preference. Forms may be faxed to (312) 786-0152. Firms will be able to receive their files beginning at approximately 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 21, 2000.

Firms wishing to receive MQ Message Files on Tuesday or Wednesday, August 22 and 23, 2000 should forward a request to Clearing on the prior day. All Requests should be provided to Clearing by 12:00 Noon on the designated day.

Please note that no MQ Test Message files will be provided to firms after 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 23, 2000.
