Allocation and Claim Transaction (ACT) Upgrade to Version 1.1
|
On Monday, November 20, 2000, the ACT system used to process EFP transactions will be upgraded to Version 1.1. The new version will be available November 6 – November 17 through a link on the BOTCC web site for the firms to test and review the changes. Demonstrations on the new system will be offered on Tuesday through Thursday, November 14, 15, and 16, at our 208 S. LaSalle training facility.

The following is a list of the screen changes for ACT Version 1.1:
ACT Selection Menu
• A “Rejects Only” radio button will be added under the Status column for added filtering capabilities.
Create Summary screen
• A “Search bar will be added below the “Actions” header for filtering capabilities by the Status, Commodity, Executing Account, Executing Broker, Card Order, Month/Year, and Opposing Firm fields.
• The user will have the ability to make changes to or delete a transaction until it is partially or fully claimed.
• The summary window will have scrolling capabilities. The header will be repeated every ten lines so the user can continuously see the field headings.
Allocate Summary screen
• The Claiming Account, Origin, CTI, Exchange Fee and Broker fields will be added.
• The user will have the ability to change the following fields for unclaimed trades: Claiming Firm, Account, Origin, Exchange Fee, and Broker. Previously, the user could make changes only in the Allocate Detail screen.
• The user will have additional filtering capability by Claiming Firm.
• The “Delete” column will no longer be available on this screen.
• Give up functionality will no longer be available on this screen.
• The summary window will have scrolling capabilities. The header will be repeated every ten lines so the user can continuously see the field headings.
Claim Summary screen
• The “Claim Order” and “Claim Broker” fields will be added.
• The user will have the ability to change the following fields for claimed trades: Claiming Account, Origin, Exchange Fee, and Broker. Previously, the user could only make changes in the Claim Detail screen.
• The summary window will have scrolling capabilities. The header will be repeated every ten lines so the user can continuously see the field headings.
Allocate Detail screen
• The allocation timestamp will be updated for each change until the trade is claimed.
Other Information
• Every other line will be shaded for easier reading.
• An error message will appear if the user has not clicked the Submit button when there is a pending action or an error on the screen while trying to exit the current page or perform a search. If there is a pending action, the user will be prompted to either click Submit or reset the radio button to “No Action” before leaving the page. If there is an error on the screen, the user will be prompted to either correct the error or reset the radio button to “No Action” before leaving the screen.
