Lock Box Construction Update
|
Installation of the new lock boxes has been scheduled for Monday, February 14th, 2000. At this time we are reassigning firms’ lock box numbers. For ease of this transition, a chart will be located near the lock boxes that will contain Box Number / Firm Number. As a reminder, the new lock boxes will be half the size of the current lock boxes and will have combination locks. The combination will be provided to an authorized firm representative on Monday, February 7th, 2000, in two distribution methods. The first method will be via e-mail to the back office manager. The second will be by distributing an envelope addressed to the back office manager in the lock boxes with the new lock box number assignment and the combination. If any discrepancies are noted on the numbers provided within these distribution methods, please contact your Business Systems Analyst as soon as possible.
BOTCC’s operations staff has been informed of firms’ concerns that there may be overflow issues with reports at this time. As a reminder, the operations department is staffed from Sunday at noon through Saturday at 7:00 a.m. For firms’ that have overflow issues, staff will be available during these hours to retrieve firms’ remaining reports. After Saturday at 7:00 a.m. firms will be unable to retrieve any overflow until Sunday when staff is again on site. As a reminder, The Board of Trade Clearing Corporation began a project on Friday, January 14th, to eliminate distributing hard copy reports to firm lock boxes. The schedule that has been defined to date continues with reports being eliminated every two weeks. Once report elimination has been successfully completed every two weeks, this schedule will be accelerated to every week until all reports are eliminated.
