Addition of Compact Disc Formats as Acceptable Media for Backup Trade Submission
|
In our continuing effort to provide seamless trade submission capability to Member Firms, the Clearing Corporation will now accept Compact Disc Recordable (CDR) and Compact Disc Re-Writable (CDRW) as Media for Trade Submission Backup in addition to Tape Cartridge and PC Diskette.
Trade data submitted to Clearing on CDR and CDRW must be provided in the TREX record format. The file should also meet the following standards.
• Outside label specifying firm name and number, trade date, record length, record count, contact name, and phone number.
• Record length must be greater or equal to 184 bytes.

Firms are encouraged to test CDR, CDRW and other selected media with the Clearing Corporation. Please contact Business Systems to schedule a test date.
