Verification of ATOM Tax Data
|
The Board of Trade Clearing Corporation is preparing for ATOMŽ 2001 TEFRA processing. As part of this preparation the Clearing Corporation provides firms the opportunity to review taxpayer addresses and identification numbers maintained in the ATOM system. It is important that you verify tax information in the ATOM system before it is reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). To verify the firm tax information maintained in the ATOM system, the Clearing Corporation has produced a special firm tax information report:
BFR00061F - Firm Tax Data Confirmation
This report will be available on Wednesday, December 5, 2001, in Infopac.
To confirm that your firm tax information is correct, you will be required to complete the BFR00061F form, which can be found in Infopac. This report will be available for confirmation in December and the final version in January. The deadline for returning the BFR00061F to Clearing is Friday, December 14, 2001. The deadline for updating the tax information is Wednesday, January 16, 2002. Firms should drop off their signed BFR00061F reports at the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation, Suite 1460.
