Infopac Printing Default is Switching to Batch
|
Effective Monday, January 22nd, the default “Printer” in Infopac will be changed to “Batch”. To make it easier for users on the new customer network to print their reports, the default will no longer remain “Online”. The following paragraphs explain how this change may affect the user and how to change the destination printer.
When changing the Printer option from Online to Batch, the Destination Printer may change. The user may change this by inputting any of the destinations listed in the “PRT AVAILABLE” section. The “Dest=****” at the bottom of the screen shows which printer that option is set up to print to.
The effects of this change depend on how the Member Firm is currently set up to print. The following are the three situations describing how firms may be affected by this change:
• No change because the online and batch options are set up for the same printer.
• The report will print to a different printer because the online and batch options are set up for different printers.
• An error message will display because batch printing has not been set up for that login ID.
Users who have not yet converted to the new Customer Network and wish to continue using the online print option may do so by entering “O” in the Printer field.
The default setup has to be done by login ID. To set up the login IDs for your firm, please contact a BSG representative with the login IDs and destination where you would like batch printing to be directed. You have the option of allowing different login ID’s to default to different printers.
