SUBJECT:	System Availability Thursday January 18, 2001

At 7:00 AM on Thursday, January 18, 2001, the Clearing Corporation will upgrade MQM system performance. During this upgrade all firm transmissions and a/c/e trades sent to OTIS via MQM will be held for approximately 30 minutes. After the change has been successfully implemented the inbound queues will be turned on and transactions will be processed

Firms will receive notification on the completion of the upgrade via OTIS screen messages and e-mails.
