SUBJECT:	Verification of ATOM Tax Data

The Board of Trade Clearing Corporation is preparing for ATOM® 2001 TEFRA processing. As part of this preparation the Clearing Corporation provides brokers the opportunity to review taxpayer addresses and identification numbers maintained in the ATOM system. It is important that you verify tax information in the ATOM system before it is reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). To verify the W-9 information maintained in the ATOM system, the Clearing Corporation has produced a special broker tax information report:

BFR00061 - Broker Tax Data Confirmation

This report will be available in Market Information, Suite 336A, on Tuesday, November 6, 2001.

To update or change tax information, you will be required to complete a new W-9 form. These forms are available at the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation, Suite 1430. All changes must be received prior to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2002. This report – BFR00061 Broker Tax Data Confirmation report – will also be available on December 5, 2001 and January 4, 2002. Brokers who wish to verify updates to their tax information are encouraged to have any changes to their ATOM information completed by Friday, November 30, 2001. Brokers should drop off updates to their tax information at the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation, Suite 1460.
