Search Tool Added to BOTCC® Web Site
|
The Clearing Corporation is pleased to announce the availability of a search facility on the BOTCC web site. Users can use this tool to quickly find information the Clearing Corporation provides for its community.
The areas that are indexed by the search engine include the BOTCC bulletins and the General Information area, which has many useful documents and forms..
To search the BOTCC web site, users can enter any number of search terms into the “Search BOTCC” field and click on the “Search” button.
The resulting screen will list the first ten pages, in terms of relevance, that meet the criteria submitted. The tool rates relevance by the number of times the search words appear in the page.
A count of the resulting items of the query listed will appear at the top of the page. Subsequent items, in sets of ten per page, can be seen by clicking the “Next 10” button on the bottom of the screen. Users may then sort the results by date by clicking the “Sort By Date” link on the bottom of the pages.
Users may further refine their queries by clicking on the “Advanced Search” link located below the “Search BOTCC” field. At this point there are many options, including searching by phrase, sound-alikes, and date range. The “Advanced Search” page also includes the ability to show more than 10 results on a page, and to define the sort of the initial set of results by date or by relevance.
