SPAN Settlement Prices
|
Clearing Member firms and service providers are reminded that the early version of the SPAN array file, which is available between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m., should not be used in obtaining final settlement prices. Settlement prices provided in the preliminary SPAN file are not intended to be a replacement for our final settlement price file distribution. Firms who use the prices in the preliminary SPAN file take the risk that their bookkeeping will be out of balance with clearing.
Proofing and control procedures, put in place by the Clearing Corporation, ensure that the final settlement price file is correct prior to the file being released. This final settlement price file is available between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., and should be the only file that firms should use in determining final settlement prices in their bookkeeping system.
Final settlement price data is available to all clearing member firms through file download. Firms would be well advised to review their source of settlement price data to address their processing requirements. Firms that need more information on accessing this file should contact Client Services and Support.
