File Transfer via the Internet Test
|
The Board of Trade of Clearing Corporation has begun providing, on a quarterly basis, trade information through File Transfer via the Internet. Firms can use this system to test their disaster recovery procedures (please refer to Volume 22 - Bulletin #136 for testing by Portable Media). Trade information including a/c/e trades, give-up allocations and claims, and SLEDS legs from a selected business day will be saved and offered to the clearing members through the Internet. Firms will be required to indicate what data they wish to test. Trade data will be provided in the TREX record format.
File Transfer via the Internet disaster recovery testing will be offered for the business day of Wednesday, July 17, 2002. In order to participate in this quarterly test, firms are required to complete and turn in the attached request form to Client Services and Support no later then Monday, July 15, 2002.
The test data from July 17 will be available on the File Transfer system, accessible through BOTCC web page, on Tuesday, July 23. To access the File Transfer system at www.botcc.com, complete the attached form or contact your CSS representative. Firms may request that a current user ID be given access to the system, or a new user may be set up to access the system.
Firm users will log into the system and select ‘Firm Test Menu’. From the firm test menu, users should select the ‘ New Functionality: File Transfer’ option. A user guide is available on the BOTCC website at https://firms.botcc.com/manuals/filetransfer.pdf.
