New Systems and Implementation Plans
|
On November 2, 2001, the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation, installed the frist phase of version 2.0 of the Allocation and Claim Transaction (ACTTM) System. This was a first in a series of system installations that will enhance functionality for the clearing members with web based access and application program interfaces (APIs). In addition to ACT, the Clearing Corporation is also in the process of developing a new trade management interface that is web enabled. Although these systems provide enhanced functionality, we also realize, they introduce a new way of transaction entry and processing that requires firm testing and training.
For both ACT and the new trade management system, Clearing is incorporating the knowledge and experience of the member firms by working with the Operations Task Force and their service bureau representatives in the development and design. To better prepare the firms and their service providers, a proposed schedule of the phased-in system installation for ACT and new trade management is listed below. The proposed dates are the earliest that system installation could occur and can change due to the status of testing and certification of user functionality by the Business Systems Group (BSG). Bulletins with detailed system descriptions will be released prior to the implementation date. Hands-on training will also be provided.
