VOLUME 22 – BULLETIN #187

On September 17, 2002, the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation began offering training classes for ACT^TM 2.3, which includes initiate and accept profiles, give-up processing for all ETS and pit transactions, give-ups of give-ups, and same day position transfers, along with the introduction of new screen enhancements. Please refer to Volume 22 - Bulletin #181 for the training schedule.

In addition, firms should also be aware that the ACT 2.3 test system will be available through the BOTCC website at www.botcc.com beginning Monday, September 30, 2002. Click on the ‘Login‘ link and enter a valid user ID and password to gain access. Once authenticated, click on the ‘Firm Test Menu’ link and then click on ‘New Functionality: ACT – Allocate & Claim Transaction System’ link.

In addition to testing the GUI interface, firms can also test the sending and receiving of API messages for all transactions. For more information regarding API processing, please review the API Documentation on BOTCC website at firms.botcc.com/manuals/. Firms also have the option to have their previous day’s give-up activity loaded onto the ACT system. To receive a test trade register report, or to have give-up activity loaded on the ACT system, please contact your Client Services and Support Representative listed below.

A new ACT 2.3 user manual describing the new functionality, as well as a training guide, is available on the BOTCC website at firms.botcc.com/manuals. A valid web user ID and password is required to gain access. Once authenticated, select ACT 2.3 under ‘User Manual’ or ‘Training Manual’ column
