Allocation and Claim Transaction System, ACTTM – Give-up Processing for ETS and Pit Trades
|
On October 15, 2002, Volume 22 – Bulletin #197 was published announcing the planned implementation date for the ACT system (Give-up Processing for ETS and Pit Trades) as Friday, November 8, 2002. Since that bulletin was published, the Clearing Corporation has visited firms’ back offices to test ACT system response time and firm readiness (Please see Volume 22 – Bulletin #196 for details on system configuration recommendations for optimal performance on ACT).
Upon reviewing the data accumulated from these visits and considering other date-sensitive industry events for which clearing firms are preparing, the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation has rescheduled the implementation. On Friday, November 8, 2002, application enhancements and hardware upgrades to help ensure system performance will be implemented and monitored very closely by the ACT development team. The Clearing Corporation will also conduct additional back office visits to monitor ACT system response time at firm sites. These findings will be carefully reviewed by the Clearing Corporation during the next four business days. Give-up processing for ETS and pit trades will be migrated from OTIS® to ACT on Friday, November 15, 2002. Clearing members will be kept up to date via bulletins.
