Exchange Reporting of CBOT 30-Day Fed Fund Option Contracts
|
Starting Monday, March 17, 2003, firms will be required to submit Large Trader Information in the CBOT 30-Day Fed Fund Option contracts. Firms can submit these records via FTP as part of their Large Trader Data file or enter them directly through OTIS® using the Exchange Reporting System. For more information regarding 30-Day Fed Fund Option contracts, please refer to Volume 23 - Bulletin #039.
Due to the five digit strike format, firms reporting Fed Fund Option positions via FTP will be required to use Large Trade Position Information (P6) Record 6 for flexible options. The Exercise Day and Exercise Style fields contained in the P6 record, positions 28 through 29 and position 39 respectively will need to be populated with zeroes when being used to report Fed Fund Options.
Firms reporting Fed Fund Option positions through OTIS are required to use the Exchange Reporting System, selection #9. From the Exchange Reporting menu, select option #3, Position Report (P5). Use the P5 screen to add reportable Fed Fund option positions.
To inquire, update, or delete reportable Fed Fund Option positions submitted using an FTP or entered into the OTIS Exchange Reporting, firms should use option #4, Position Report Inquiry (P5) screen. For more information on how to add, inquire, update, and delete using the Exchange Reporting System please refer to Chapter Seven of the OTIS Trade Entry manual. The OTIS Trade Entry Manual as well as other Clearing Corporation manuals can be found by logging onto the Web Selection menu at www.clearingcorp.com.
