New Trade Management Application
|
Last year, the Clearing Corporation announced plans to replace the OTISŪ trade entry and inquiry system with a new web-based Trade Management system. CBOT pit and electronic trades are scheduled to be migrated from the OTIS system to the New Trade Management system during the second quarter 2003. The New Trade Management application will replace the following OTIS functionality: all futures, options, and differential spreads (SLEDS) trade entry, trade update, trade inquiry and on-line report requests.
Features of the New Trade Management application will include a browser-based graphical user interface and the ability to build future and option trade entry profiles. The New Trade Management system will also offer a new position management application to support the entry of Dow fungibility transactions. Another feature of the system includes trade data submitted to clearing being edited and enriched prior to sending MQM trade confirmations back to the firms. This post-edit confirmation will increase the quality and value of the information in the trade message back to the firms.
The New Trade Management application will utilize existing infrastructure, communication lines and web software services in place today supporting the ACT™ application. Members of the New Trade Management project team are visiting clearing member sites to review firm connectivity, web browser settings and workstation configurations. Pending the results of these visits, the Clearing Corporation may make hardware or software recommendations to insure optimal performance.
Firms are urged to sign-up for a hands-on training class in New Trade Management. To sign up for a training class, please call or email a Client Services and Support Representative. Please check the monthly calendar on our web page for scheduled class dates.
More information on the New Trade Management system will be published as the implementation date approaches.
