New Trade Management Member Firm Testing
|
On Friday, May 9, 2003 the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation will implement its New Trade Management system. To help firms prepare for this implementation, the Clearing Corporation will be providing scheduled back office testing beginning Tuesday, April 15, 2003. Testing will include both on-line access to the GUI as well as remote submission with firm back office systems using MQM. GUI access will allow firms to test trade entry, inquiry/update, outtrade functionality, new search features and position management.
All testing will take place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. MQM tests must be scheduled. Firms wishing to receive MQM messages to their queue, must schedule a NTM test two days prior to the requested test date. Attached is a request form for scheduling a MQM member firm back office test.
GUI Testing
The New Trade Management System (NTM) is a web-based application. Your web-based user id will provide access to the NTM test system only if you have attended a NTM training class. If you have not attended a training class, contact a Client Service and Support representative at (312) 786-3804 to obtain access to the NTM test environment. Firms are encouraged to attend a training class if they have not already done so.
Only current day trade dates will be allowed in the test system and the opposing firm can only be your own. To avoid edit errors on the NTM test system, firms should use the following commodities, contract months and price range:

MQM Testing
A test script that firms can use to submit trade information into the New Trade Management System via MQM is available below. Firms must submit the commodity, contract months and prices listed below if they do not want test data to result in error. Only current trade dates will be allowed in the test system. If firms wish to match trades they can only do so by using their own firms as the opposing side of the trade. The Clearing Corporation will run one match cycle at 2:00 p.m. on test days. All trades will be deleted at the end of day.
