On Monday, January 27, 2003, new password management software will be available for the Clearing Corporation’s applications. This software will integrate existing mainframe (OTIS®) and web (ACT^TM, Pay/Collect) passwords based on the user’s mainframe password. Users will be able to use the same password to access both platforms.

To synchronize passwords, users should log on to the mainframe (OTIS) and select to change their password. Once the password has successfully been changed, users can log onto the Clearing Corporation’s web page using their new password. The mainframe and web application passwords can be managed and synchronized via the web.

Once the passwords have been synchronized, the Clearing Corporation recommends that users log into the web page for a one-time set up of their online account. This will allow users to set up challenge and response questions so they can access Clearing Corporation applications even if they have forgotten their password.
