VOLUME 24 – BULLETIN #021

TO:

ALL PROSPECTIVE CLEARING PARTICIPANTS

FROM:

CLIENT SERVICES AND SUPPORT

DATE:

SUBJECT:

CCorp Services Overview for CFE

The Clearing Corporation (CCorp) is pleased to announce that it will be providing it’s New Trade Management (NTM), The Allocation Claim Transaction System (ACT), and GAINS applications, as well as MQM messaging through its Customer Network to assist firms in the processing of transactions traded at the CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) and cleared by the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC). Following is overview for both current and future clearing participants:

Existing users can use their current CCorp user-id and password to access CFE trade data through NTM and ACT. Once authenticated, the user will be required to select the appropriate CFE exchange code and OCC clearing firm ID to access CFE data. New users must submit a User ID Password Update form in order to access CFE data.

CCorp clearing participants can use their existing customer network connection to access the NTM and ACT applications as well as receive or send updates for CFE trade data. New participants who wish to have their own customer network connection should submit a Customer Network Member Firm Installation/Test Request form to CCorp’s Client Service and Support group. It is important to note, clearing participants have the option of accessing CCorp’s NTM and ACT applications through the Internet, however, if firms wish to have the ability to receive trade duplications and submit trade updates via MQM, a customer network connection is required. The turn around time for installation of a customer network connection is presently six to eight weeks.

The MQ-Series communications protocol will be used to transmit and receive trade information. The current trade-in and trade-out queues in place for CCorp participants will be used for CFE trade data.

The existing TREX record format and attribute definitions will be used for both CFE execution and Give-Up API (application programming interface). Firms that do not have or do not wish to upgrade their front-end GAPI system to process CFE give-up transactions, have the alternative of using CCorp’s Initiate and Accept Profile feature that is available within ACT to automatically perform give-up functions.

CFE participants have the option of using GAINS to facilitate processing of billing for CFE give-up transactions. For current CCorp participants, daily CFE give-up activity will appear under the present firm’s CCorp assigned clearing-ID.

Should you have any questions regarding CFE post-trade processing at CCorp, please call or e-mail one of the following Client Services and Support Representatives:
