2007 FIA Industry-Wide Disaster Recovery Test / CCorp Preliminary DR Test
|
In our continuing effort to provide seamless trade processing capability to our clearing participants in the event of a disaster, The Clearing Corporation (CCorp) is pleased to announce its participation in the FIA Industry-Wide Disaster Recovery test scheduled for Saturday, October 27, 2007.
As part of the industry-wide test, CCorp will provide the following clearing services from its disaster recovery site, beginning at 8:00AM Chicago time and continuing through 2:00PM to help firms test their preparedness in the event that CCorp needs to relocate to its DR site.
ETS Trade Confirmations
Participants will have the ability to test receiving ETS trade confirmations from CCorp’s Disaster Recovery (DR) site via MQM or through use of the file transfer via the Internet process. To replicate trading, CCorp will send four scripted transactions to each firm which has requested to receive confirmations messages.
CCorp Applications
The following applications will be available through CCorp’s DR site for participants to access:
• OTIS/ATOM/MIS on the Web
• The ACT® System
• Position Management
• Trade Management
• GAINS
• WRD
Also, it is important to note that the CCorp logo, which appears on upper left-hand side of the CCorp home page at www.clearingcorp.com, will be highlighted in red. This will allow firms to verify that they are accessing CCorp’s web applications via CCorp’s DR site.
Firms that would like to view and make changes to trade data in the ACT and / or Trade Management systems during DR testing needs to notify the Clearing Corporation by completing the attached test request form and checking off yes to question number eight. The Clearing Corporation will load trade data in to the DR environment for firms to view and make changes.
Please be aware: CCorp will be operating from its DR location; therefore all data entered into the DR clearing system will be deleted. Firms that receive data during the test to their production system should take precautions not to process disaster recovery transactions with production data.
Retrieve or Submit Data Files FTP
Firms can test performing an FTP ‘Get’ and/or ‘Put’ in order to retrieve and/or submit data files. CCorp will make production data files from Friday, October 26, 2007 available to firms for retrieval through the CCorp DR site. Firms should be aware that an FTP ‘Put’ file submitted during the scheduled Disaster Recovery Test that was originally intended for production will not be processed nor included as part of Monday, October 29, 2007 business activity.
Printing
Firms can use the following options to test the printing of clearing reports through CCorp’s DR site:
• Web Report Distribution (WRD)
