VOLUME 28 – BULLETIN #007

TO:

ALL CLEARING PARTICIPANTS

FROM:

CLIENT SERVICES AND SUPPORT

DATE:

January 31, 2008

SUBJECT:

New Customer Network

In order to offer better network connectivity, The Clearing Corporation (TCC) has selected a new vendor, BT Radianz, to provide network services for clients who require a private network connection to TCC. BT Radianz has been an established network provider to the financial community domestically and internationally for many years. Their network infrastructure design is second to none and their management has proven over the years to be of the highest quality. Additionally, many TCC clients currently have BT Radianz network connectivity. Therefore, TCC feels that BT Radianz is the best choice to provide network services for all its participants.

As a result of this change, participants currently using the AT&T Frame Relay network must either convert to BT Radianz by April 1, 2008 or opt for alternate network connectivity. Participants who do not have any BT Radianz presence at their site will require a complete site installation including new circuits and hardware. A benefit to participants that choose this option is that BT Radianz supports an IP based solution which will allow TCC to implement a more structured and efficient DR solution. This will be accomplished through the elimination of a data-circuit-based process to route clients to TCC’s DR site. This will improve the recoverability of all of TCC’s IT and business infrastructure.

For those participants already connected to TCC through the BT Radianz network, no changes are required.

Another method of network connectivity is through a virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. TCC supports Cisco VPN and this is an effective alternative for those participants that no longer require a private network connection.

Since this migration affects only those participants that use the AT&T Frame Relay network, it is recommended that these participants review the network connectivity options being offered by TCC before making a final decision regarding network connectivity.

Please fill out a TCC Network Request form by clicking here. Provide the appropriate contact information and your choice of network connectivity. Furthermore, the deadline to cut-over from the AT&T network is April 6, 2008; therefore, it is important to respond to this bulletin quickly in order to allow for enough lead time to both install a new network connection and to complete appropriate testing with TCC staff.
