The Clearing Corporation Business Partnership Opportunities

The Clearing Corporation Partnership Program is the first such program to offer marketplaces, both voice brokers and electronic brokers, the opportunity to provide clearinghouse-cleared products to their professional trader clients.

Your clients can continue to trade using existing over-the-counter (OTC) trading venues and trading styles while receiving the benefits of central counterparty clearing. The Clearing Corporation's OTC clearing service does not interfere with existing client relationships - it only makes trading simpler by eliminating counterparty credit concerns, providing capital, credit, collateral, risk management and provides other benefits to your clients. This will increase the transaction volume at your marketplace or brokerage firm and create value for both your clients and your business.

Choose from existing Clearing Corporation products or bring your new product ideas

The Clearing Corporation is the most innovative and technologically advanced clearing house. We are open to clearing new products like no other clearing house. We offer products that our clients have asked us to clear and we always welcome new requests and ideas. We strive to offer the most competitive and innovative clearing services in the industry.

Please fill the attached form or contact our Business Development team for more information on how to include your products as cleared products.

Q& A for partner brokers and marketplaces

Can our marketplace or brokerage firm offer both voice brokered and electronically traded products to our clients?

The trading style is entirely the partner's business choice; electronic, voice brokered or both. There may be certain regulatory constraints on what products can be traded and how they are cleared. We encourage you to contact us for more details.

What clients of ours are eligible? Who is an "Eligible Contract Participant (ECP)"?

Clients that meet the definition of an Eligible Contract Participant (ECP) can trade The Clearing Corporation's OTC cleared products at your marketplace or be brokered by your firm. The full ECP definition is lengthy, but in broad terms includes any of the following persons: a corporation, partnership, proprietorship, organization, trust, or other entity that has total assets in excess of $10,000,000 or a net worth of more than $1 million; banks and insurance companies; pension plans with assets in excess of $5 million; futures commission merchants, and individuals with more than $10 million in assets.

What does the partnership program provide to the marketplaces or brokers?

The program provides access to new products to your business and enables business growth in one of the fastest growing areas in the derivatives markets - cleared products.

The Clearing Corporation will provide your company with marketing assistance, promotional materials, seminars to clients, training for your sales force, private meetings with clients, and trading strategy experts to devise new offerings at your business. Please contact us for more details.
