Eurex U.S. Market Maker

Event: Eurex U.S. Market Maker

Description

A Eurex U.S. account type of M1 or M2 designates a Market Maker.

Process

Market Makers using the quote screen on the Eurex US trading platform will be assigned to the following CTI and origin combinations.

• For M1 account trades, Clearing will assign CTI 4 and Origin 1 for futures and options.

• For M2 account trades, Clearing will assign CTI 2 and Origin 2 for futures and options.

Note: Clearing will populate the account number with the first three characters of the trading member id, participant sub-group code, and participant number from the sign-on. This field will be nine characters long.

Market Makers using the trade entry screen on the Eurex US trading platform are required to populate the CTI, Origin, and account number. Clearing will use no default logic to populate the account number. If the market maker leaves this information blank, no account will be populated on the TREX message.
