Risk Analyst

The Clearing Corporation is a premier clearing house and leading provider of clearing, settlement and risk management services to exchanges and global marketplaces for a variety of exchange traded and OTC derivatives products.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Risk Analyst. The candidate will work with the Risk department in managing The Clearing Corporation's risk exposures with primary focus on the daily monitoring of market, credit and price risks generated by clearing activities. Responsibilities include the analysis of historical data for new and existing products (futures, OTC, SWAPS, energy, financial currencies), margin reviews, and collateral analysis. Review and analyze the participant's financial reports, utilizing this information to monitor each participant's settlements, open positions, margin collateral and large trader activity. Assist in preparing the initial credit review of assigned new applicants.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics)
• Minimum of 2 years Risk Management experience
• Experience in futures industry is required.
• Detailed knowledge of SPAN
• Experience using risk applications (FinCad, Algorithmics, Adaptiv or Murex) is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills
