The Clearing Corporation is pleased to announce that John D. Nixon, Director and member of the Global Executive Management Committee of ICAP plc, and Dennis T. Scurletis, Managing Director and Global Head of the Listed Derivatives Business at Morgan Stanley have been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Nixon has had a distinguished career in the financial services industry. In his current position with the Global Executive Management Committee of ICAP, he is responsible for corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions and Global Market Data Services. Prior to this position, Nixon worked as a Non-Executive Director and Investment Banking Advisor to Intercapital plc, providing strategic consulting services to the ICAP Group.
Mr. Nixon was previously employed as a strategic consultant to Moneyline Networks and was specifically involved in Moneyline.s acquisition of the Telerate business from Bridge Information Systems in 2001. Prior to working with Moneyline, Mr Nixon had a 20 year career with Tullett and Tokyo Forex and was Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 1997.
Mr. Scurletis joined Morgan Stanley in 1995 as a senior mortgage salesman and has accumulated a great deal of experience in the management of securitized products capital markets and structuring. In 2000 he was named head of IR Sales, NA and in 2005 was named to his current title of Global Head of the Listed Derivatives Business including Equity, Fixed Income, Commodity and FX Futures. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he was employed by Goldman Sachs from 1985-95 and Westinghouse Electric Corporation from 1979 to 1984.
Among his numerous industry leadership roles, Mr. Scurletis currently serves as a Board Member of the FIA and also previously served as the Chairman of BrokerTec Futures Exchange, LLC, ultimately merged with EurexUS, and on the board of BrokerTec Clearing Company, LLC.
