CLEARING CORPORATION ANNOUNCES STOCKHOLDER
ELECTION RESULTS

Chicago, June 20, 2007 – The Clearing Corporation recently held its Annual Meeting of Stockholders. The following directors were elected to serve new terms.

  • Michael C. Dawley
  • James G. McCormick
  • Peter J. McLady

Mr. Dawley is Managing Director and the futures product head with Goldman, Sachs & Co. In 1985, he joined Goldman Sachs in Chicago and moved to New York in 1996. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Dawley worked for E.F. Hutton and traded independently for several years. He is past Chairman of the Futures Industry Association and currently serves on its Executive Committee and Board. He also is a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's Clearing House Risk Committee, Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Global Markets Advisory Committee and the advisory board of the Kent State University's Masters of Financial Engineering Program. Mr. Dawley is a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade.

Mr. McCormick is President and Chief Executive Officer of TransMarket Group LLC, a proprietary trading firm with offices in Chicago, New York, London, Sydney, Madrid, Singapore and Mumbai. During his tenure, Mr. McCormick has established floor and screen trading operations, traded on the floor, recruited personnel, managed sales staff, and coordinated the firm's international business ventures. Prior to joining TransMarket, Mr. McCormick began his 35-year career in the financial services industry with Continental Illinois Bank (now Bank of America) in 1970.

Mr. McLady is a Managing Director and Global Head of Global Exchange Services within the Global Finance Division of Deutsche Bank AG. He is responsible for coordinating the firm's global activities in the execution and clearing of exchange traded futures and options. Mr. McLady has more than 15 years experience in the international futures market and currently serves on the Board of the Futures Industry Association.

Elected to a one year-term as a Class E director is:

  • Peter Reitz

Mr. Reitz is currently a Managing Director with Deutsche Börse AG for Business Development Derivatives Markets. Since 2001, he has been a Member of the Executive Board of the Eurex Exchanges and Eurex Clearing. He is responsible for Product Development and Market Development of Eurex as well as the management of the OTC platforms Eurex Bonds and Eurex Repo. Mr. Reitz is President and Chairman of Eurex's subsidiary in the United States: U.S. Exchange Holdings. He is a member of the board of USFE and the supervisory board of the European Energy Exchange and serves on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Global Markets Advisory Committee and the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management Research Center Advisory Board. Prior to his current position, Mr. Reitz was with Dow Jones Indexes in New York from 2000 until 2001. From 1991 to 2000, Mr. Reitz held several positions at Deutsche Börse AG.

The Board of Directors met following the Stockholder Meeting to elect a chairman and vice chairman. Michael C. Dawley was re-elected to serve as Chairman of the Board and James G. McCormick was re-elected to serve as Vice-Chairman, each for a one-year term.
